Considering finances when seeking professional help can be a daunting task. Luckily, Medicaid can ease the burden of costs, letting you get the proper mental health care you need at a center that’s ready to work around you to get you back on your feet.
Access To Care: Here When You Need It
Finances shouldn’t be the first thing on your mind when you’re thinking about starting counseling, an outpatient program, or reaching out for the services of a mental health professional. Fifth Street Counseling Center is a Medicaid Community Mental Health Center, which means we accept all Florida Medicaid insurance.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, Medicaid covered nearly a quarter of adults seeking treatment for mental health issues in 2015. The program also makes provisions for a wide array of therapy options, covering counseling, inpatient and outpatient programs, and psychiatric treatment.
How A Therapist Can Help You
Mental health issues are a lot more common than you think, affecting roughly 1 in 5 Americans. What may seem like minor anxiety or low mood could be indicative of a deeper lying issue. When you combine this with added life stressors such as financial issues, family tension, work stress, health complications for you or those you love, daily life can become hard to manage. There’s never any shame in asking for a helping hand. Whatever you need it for, therapy can help get you to where you want to be.
Anxiety
Stress can be a real problem in our day to day lives. It can chip away at us without us realizing it, leading us closer to burnout. Speaking to a therapist can help you alleviate some of the worries you may have, allowing you to speak your mind in a safe environment. You can learn effective techniques to manage anxiety, how to relay your thoughts to others, and how to recognize when a situation is making your anxiety worse.
Depression & Grief
Depression doesn’t just mean feeling sad. If you’re feeling lost, or you’re not finding enjoyment in your regular hobbies, it may benefit you to seek professional help. Losing a loved one can put you in a situation where you feel a great lack of joy and purpose, but you don’t have to work through that situation alone.
Addiction
Seeking professional help for an addiction has multiple benefits. Through structured guidance, you can change both your physical addiction habits and your mindset towards addictive substances. Addiction therapy is multifaceted, working on both your physical recovery as well as your relationships with others regarding your addiction.
Intensive Outpatient Specialization
At Fifth Street, we know not everyone has the time to spend weeks in an inpatient program. For many, this kind of treatment is difficult to access and hard to maintain when work, family, and financial obligations are present. However, this doesn’t mean you’re out of options if you want to seek professional help in a structured format.
Intensive outpatient drug and alcohol programs are built around keeping you on your feet and in your home. While group and individual therapy sessions may be frequent, they’re arranged to allow you to carry on with life outside of your treatment program. We’re open late into most nights to accommodate all sorts of business hours, and time spent recovering in an outpatient program gives you real world experience in managing your daily life without substances.
